FMLN militant attacker is PNC agent, according to family | El Salvador News

The head of security of the Minister of Health, Francisco Alabi, has been pointed out as one of the attackers of a group of militants of the FMLN, the previous Sunday, of whom two died; is original of a town of Cuscatlán.

Blanca and Francisco, his parents, also do not know how he got this place; what they do say they are sure of is that he is a member of the National Civil Police (PNC) and that the previous Friday he left his home for work in San Salvador.

Diego, as he is known in his hometown, is 30 years old, and in terms of finishing his high school in a private school in Cojutepeque, he entered the National Academy of Public Security (ANSP).

As far as they are aware, Diego’s parents claim that he continues in the PNC.

However, they are surprised that no one from the police institution has informed them of their health condition and the legal problem in which they are allegedly involved: having shot at a group of supporters of the FMLN party, two of whom died.

Yesterday, the two people said they don’t know much about their son’s situation. They claimed they could not see or talk to him because they were told he was unconscious. “Maybe when he wakes up, he explains how all this is confusing me,” explained Blanca, who claims to be afraid that something bad will happen to them because of everything that has been said about her son and the case.

In Candelaria it is no longer a secret that Diego is pointed out in the media and social media, of being one of those responsible for the attack on a group of FMLN supporters.

Yesterday mid-afternoon, many villagers had already seen photos of Diego where he allegedly appears on the pier of Ilopango Lake, and another where he is seen with a rifle inside a vehicle.

Moments after the armed attack, it transpired that FMLN members had been attacked by people in an apparent state of intoxication and fans of a football club had fired at the political caravan.

However, for Diego’s parents this surprises them because their son, as far as they know, went out on Friday to do his shift, in addition, they have never seen him get drunk and have a bad mood, they affirm.

Residents of the municipality of Candelaria are also surprised by the reports that are being made against Diego; they say he has never been known to be a problematic person on the site.

Another attack from a security minister

It is not the first time that security personnel of officials of this Government are involved in acts of intolerance.

On March 12, 2020, Melvin Omar Quezada Hernández, in charge of the security of the Minister of the Environment, was captured for firing his firearm at another motorist on a stretch of Merliot Boulevard, Santa Key.

The capture was made after video surveillance cameras revealed details of the attacker and the vehicle he was driving, a motorcycle.

Unlike Diego Francisco Alvarado Peña, Quezada Hernández’s neighbors described him as a problematic person, who was arguing with any of his neighbors in the Jardins de la Volcán colony, where he had installed a series of video surveillance cameras. , supposedly part of their security measures.
