Update: We have confirmation:

Original story [Sat 30th Jan, 2021 06:00 GMT]: According to a recent YouTube video and a list from Amazon, Respawn Entertainment’s free Battle Royale battle game Apex Legends arrives next month on February 2nd.

Although there is no official confirmation from EA yet, game director Chad Grenier has answered a question on Twitter: he is wondering when the Switch version of the game will be released. Apparently, Nintendo fans can expect some news soon. Here is the full exchange:

Apex Legends was initially scheduled to launch on Switch last year until Respawn decided to delay the game in October. Grenier said this was to ensure the team did the “justice” version of Switch.

There are also some news about the Japanese retail launch via GoNintendo. Somewhat surprisingly, it’s full of “digital only” content and won’t include any playing cards.

If Apex Legends arrives next week, at this rate, it will I could be a surprise drop in the eShop. Will you check out this free play title whenever it arrives? Comment below.
