Destruction AllStars has all the bells and whistles you would expect to have in a modern multiplayer game: customizable player profiles, multiple coins, and quick encounters. However, he commits a cardinal sin: there is no universal option for silencing voice chat. With the DualSense driver shipped with a built-in microphone, you can imagine the chaos.
First, if you are not aware of it, there is one way to mute voice-to-match voice opponents: Press the PlayStation button while in the lobby, scroll to the voice chat activity card, and press the Square button. It’s not a particularly sleek solution (you’ll have to repeat it for every game you play), but it will save you a headache if you go through the hassle.
We’re sure this is something Lucid Games will study, and we hope it can include an option for those who want to turn off the feature. Obviously, it would be great if we all lived in a world where strangers could meet and communicate quietly with each other, but hey, we all know that’s not the case, right?
