Will Smith presents the trailer for the Netflix series Amend: The Fight For America on the 14th Amendment
Will Smith took to Instagram on Tuesday to present a trailer for his new Netflix series Amend: The Fight For America.
The 52-year-old executive actor produced and hosted the six-part docuseries examined by the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution which was ratified in 1868.
“What does it mean to be American?” Smith said to open the nearly three-minute trailer.

Smith, on his Instagram page, told his nearly 51.3 million followers that he had the honor of presenting the trailer.
“We live unprecedented days as a society, as a country and as a human family. I believe that cultivating personal and historical understanding is the imperative spark that ignites the flames of compassion and healing they desperately needed, ”the Oscar nominee wrote in the coach’s title.
As Americans, we seek to form a more perfect union that truly establishes justice and equality for all. I think a deeper understanding of the 14th Amendment is a critical point, “Smith added.
