The first review of Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury has already been published by the Japanese publication Famitsu. The verdict comes just over a week before the official launch of the game.
The Famitsu scoring system has four different reviewers who value the game of ten; in this case, the reviewers of the magazine opted for scores of nine, nine, eight and ten, resulting in an overall score of 36/40 (thank you, Ryokutya2089 / VGC).
As noted by VGC, Famitsu gave the original Wii U version of Super Mario 3D World a score of 38/40, a score slightly higher than what the release has given to the new Switch game. According to reports, the review describes Bowser’s Fury mode as “very fun”, while praising the challenge and reproducibility of the new mode and the online service offered by the base game.
We’ll have our own review of the game a little closer to the version of the game, so be sure to stay tuned to read our opinions. Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury will be released exclusively on Switch on February 12, and you can book it now.
