SPRING, Texas – One of the two people wanted on Wednesday has been arrested after shooting an agent involved near Spring.
The search began around 1:40 p.m. in the area of Interstate 45 and Rayford Highway.
Sergeant. Erik Burse of the Texas Department of Public Safety said a soldier had stopped a white Chevrolet van with Tyler Goodson, 28, and Rebecca Orange, 29. He said both people refused to identify with the soldier, so he asked a deputy from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office to come to the scene and help identify them.
Burse said while the ID was running, Goodson jumped back into the truck and started driving while Orange fled on foot. He said that while Goodson was walking away, he tried to run over the deputy and the authorities fired at the vehicle.
The collection was later abandoned, Burse said.
Orange was later found and arrested, officials said. Several police agencies are still searching for Goodson.
Announcements
Authorities said both Goodson and Orange have several orders issued for their arrest.
Anyone with information about where Goodson is located is asked to call 911 immediately.
No injuries were reported.
Texas Rangers, the state’s investigative agency, is in charge of the investigation into the shooting.
