Apple is DOWN! Services such as iCloud and Photos are affected by the interruption
- Some of Apple’s services are experiencing cuts as of Wednesday afternoon
- Currently, there are a number of iCloud, Photos and Find My Friend services
- The outage began around 1:30 p.m. ET, which affected other Apple functions
- He left out Apple Music, the App Store, and iTunes, but they work
Apple is currently experiencing outages or partial outages with various services.
The tech giant’s system status panel shows interruptions in Photos, Find My Friend, and eight iCloud services.
However, iCloud Backup is part of this group, which means that users can’t back up their devices.
Earlier this afternoon, users experienced a ‘slow or unavailable’ service with Apple Music, App Store, iMessage and iTunes, but the bug was fixed within two hours.
The outage began around 1:30 p.m. (ET), but is still affecting much of iCloud services and Apple has not said when they will be fixed or what caused their failure.

Cloud Backup, iCloud Bookmarks & Tabs, iCloud Calendar, iCloud Contacts, iCloud Drive, iCloud Keychain, iCloud Mail, iCloud Notes, and iCloud Storage Upgraders are shown in a red triangle meaning a break.
Apple Photos and Find My Friend also don’t work.
Many of these services, such as iCloud Notes and iCloud Calendar, are key tools for workers who use them to perform daily tasks.
Still, these are just the tip of the iceberg, as early this morning Apple says it noticed problems in other services around 8:26 AM ET, according to SlashGear.
And it was the most favorable features that went down: the App Store, Apple Books, Apple Music, and Apple Music.

And iTunes Store, Mac App Store and Apple Radio were also shown with the red triangle.
Apple’s status page says these services came out at 8:26 AM ET and the issues were resolved at 10:43 AM ET.
The page does not share details about when the service will be restored.
This is the second setback Apple has suffered in the last week, as in January the tech giant released an update to its operating system, iOS 14.4, to fix three security vulnerabilities that “may have been actively exploited” by hackers.
The tech giant released a statement on its Apple support page showing that two bugs were identified in Webkit, the browser engine that powers Safari and one in the main operating system, Kernel.

Many of these services, such as iCloud Notes and iCloud Calendar, are key tools for workers who use them to perform daily tasks.
Kernel error was described as a “race condition” that can allow malicious applications to elevate privileges, but the update fixes it with an “enhanced lock.”
WebKit vulnerabilities have been fixed with improved restrictions, but without the update hackers could remotely access the devices “to cause arbitrary code execution,” says Apple.
Apple rarely announces problems with its systems that could be used by malicious actors in malicious activities, but the tech giant is open to receiving reports from others who find a privacy security vulnerability.
