A helicopter platform that was built in Mar-a-Lago, old President TrumpDonald Trump Pelosi pushes Newsom to choose Schiff for upcoming California AG: Palm Beach City attorney says Trump should be able to live in Mar-a-Lago Trump’s heliport in Mar-a-Lago to be shot down sooner MOREof the Florida club, to be used during his presidency will soon be overthrown.
A permit to demolish the heliport was withdrawn on Tuesday, according to the Palm Beach Daily News.
It is unclear how long it will take for the heliport to be removed, but Pyramid Builders of Palm Beach will remove the heliport for $ 15,000.
The dismissal has nothing to do with the latest events and controversies over the Trump presidency. Club representatives wanted permission to remove the heliport and there was never any intention to maintain the heliport once Trump was no longer president, According to the Palm Beach Daily News, city manager Kirk Blouin said.
“It seems to have been more controversial in media reports than in actual practice,” Blouin said. “They never asked for its conservation.”
The city originally did not allow heliports, but made an exception when Trump took office because of the argument that Trump would not cause as much traffic on Southern Boulevard if he could fly to Mar-a-Lago.
They allowed the construction of the heliport as long as it was used only for executive companies. It was built in February 2017.
The demolition of the heliport is taking place as Trump seeks to turn Mar-a-Lago into his permanent home; however, there have been setbacks by neighbors and others who say they are not allowed to live in the complex.
