Destiny 2’s chosen season has been revealed and with it comes another seasonal roadmap that stretches from next Tuesday to mid-May, the usual three months. I thought you might want a more permanent place to refer to the roadmap than a tweet, hence this article, but you can see it in a bigger way here, as I doubt you can see it all right.
I also wanted to talk a little bit about what was on the roadmap and any surprises or not that we might find. Here are the main aspects that stand out to me after going through it:
– The main feature of the season are the new events of Battlegrounds, which if I had to guess, being a handmade activity by three men, can be something we see on the same scale as Forges. As far as we can tell, there are four in total and they are in Nessus, the Cosmodrome, the Moon and … I’m not sure about the last one (Update: Europe, judging by the trailer). Unlike Forges, they can use existing map areas, I’m still not sure.
– The two repeated attacks of Destiny 1, Fallen SABER and Devil’s Lair will be released as soon as the season is live, although we still don’t know if they are integrated into the story in some way like The Disgraced in Beyond Light, or if they have been rewritten at all or will simply feature original dialogues and final heads.
– The new location of HELM has been a mystery to fans, as it appears to be a space of its own and not in the current tower. There are some theorizations that claim that this is an area rebuilt in the old tower, although not necessarily that the entire old tower will be revived. The HELM looks like it will be our “investing coins to upgrade the X thing to get better” game this season, starting with the sound.

– Something that is not more touched on this roadmap and nowhere else is the arrival of new Stasis-looking tests. We don’t know how many (at least one per class, I guess) or what form they’ll take (more checklists like last time or a real mission?). I am sure that the effects they have will not be controversial and will not affect PvP at all. I hope the story of Clovis / Elsie in Europe continues, so we don’t just completely abandon this location.
– Testing begins right away with its new set of armor, probably the most colorful we’ve seen this season, and the new trailer featured a new Trials handgun coming into fashion. From what we can tell, the new test loot and new playlist downloads seem to be the only ones being added / focused on PvP this season.
– It is not until more than a month after the launch that we get the new real strike of the season, Proving Grounds, which takes place in a moving tank, and I guess the delay is due to the fact that it will have some kind of element of season. which could not take place just at the launch of the season. Interestingly, Bungie is doing something in which season ticket holders get the strike a week before F2P players. I mean, okay?

– Finally, we’re doing Guardian Games as the closing of the season, and while some say armor sets remind them of SRL, I’m not buying it. This time there is a “closing ceremony”, although I’m not sure what it will be, although I’ve heard some theories about the reopening of the old tower. My only theory is that Heir Apparent will return, and this time he will also get a catalyst.
What it is not here? A mysterious exotic search for a Tex Mechanica weapon that some people believe is First Curse, but could be brand new. And of course, Bungie can hide other secrets that don’t appear anywhere.
Much of this will depend on the quality of the booty and the seasonal activity, but I’m excited about what I’ve seen so far, so I’m sure I’ll give the season a try. Stay tuned for more information.
