Justin Herbert was voted by fans as ‘Rookie of the Year’

The young quarterback left historic marks for a rookie in NFL history

The quarterback Justin Herbert of Los Angeles Chargers, Has been named the Pepsi NFL New Year. He became the first Chargers player to win the Keenan Allen Award in 2013 -emphasize that this is not the award given by the AP, to the new player of the year voted by journalists.

Herbert, sixth overall pick in the past NFL draft, Left historic marks in his first year as a professional. Notably the record for most passing passes for a rookie quarterback (31), and more total touchdowns for a rookie QB in NFL history (36).

In addition to leaving the best mark for a novice quarterback with full passes (396) and the second with more aerial yards (4,336).

Each week five were nominated for the Pepsi Zero Sugar NFL Rookie of the Week award, nine times in the 2020 season Herber took the nomination – tying with Ben Roethlisberger (2004) in number of weekly awards.

Justin was one of five finalists for this award. The other finalists were the open receiver of The Vikings of Minnesota, Justin Jefferson, The corridor of Jacksonville Jaguars, James Robinson, the corridor of Indianapolis Colts Jonathan Taylor and the defensive wing of Washington Chase Young.

It was the first time fans voted online and through Twitter and there were more votes than ever in the 19 years of this award.
