Manuel Pellegrini has accumulated praise Lionel Messi before real Betis‘meeting with Barcelona on Sunday night.
After transfer requests, contract losses and ongoing questions about his future, the Argentine has been the center of many headlines this season.
“I think that Messi, although he may have things off the field or difficult times or decisions regarding his future, he shows in every game that he is still the Messi of all the games he has played since he started Barcelona, ” Pilgrims he said at his pre-match press conference.
“He is a unique and different player, who has led Barcelona to glory for many years.
“I don’t think there’s anything in particular that we can take advantage of [with him].
“The deciding factor is that we have to have a good game, with personality, knowing that we are facing good players.
“Don’t make mistakes, have high individual performance and keep the spirit the team has shown in the last two and a half months.”
