Oakland Athletics are acquiring midfielder Elvis Andrus and another player in exchange for designated hitter Khris Davis and a pair of Texas Rangers prospects, sources confirmed to ESPN.
Andrus was the oldest player in the Rangers squad, where he was for 12 seasons and was the only player left of his consecutive World Series appearances in 2010 and 2011.
Andrus played just 29 games last season due to persistent back problems and hit just 194 with three homers and seven RBIs. He is owed $ 28,500,000 over the next two seasons.
Davis has 218 homers in his eight-season career with the Brewers and Athletics
The Athletic portal first reported on the exchange.
