Former President Trump “feels happier” since he left the White House, in part because he’s off social media, says his former campaign assistant.
“The president has said he now feels happier than he has ever been,” former Trump campaign strategist Jason Miller said in an interview with the Sunday Times of the United Kingdom.
Trump was banned from Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms after the siege of the U.S. Capitol last month.
“He’s said that not being on social media and not being subject to the hateful echo camera that social media becomes all too often has been really good,” Miller said on the network.
“This is the First Lady.” [Melania] he has also made a backup. She has said that she loves it, that she is much happier and that she enjoys it much more, ”the former assistant said.
Trump has also benefited from the lack of pressure from the top office, Miller said.

Meanwhile, Trump shared “some very tender moments” with his family as he left Washington, DC, for his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Miller said.
“It was fun to have a front row seat for that. Emotions ran the full range. Some people were very sad the day he arrived, but there was pride that this was the first and most successful term in U.S. presidential history, ”Miller said.
