GTA online had what appears to have been a very successful 2020 by all metrics. According to developer Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto, a single-player multiplayer, managed to break records in the number of players and video displays on various platforms, with the relatively recent addition of The Key Perico Heist certainly helping. As part of a brief note thanking the players, Rockstar Games has also tested the new title content.
More specifically, the Rockstar Games publication asks players to, for example, “see more celebratory events in the near future for the opportunity to get new equipment, additional GTA $, and a free vehicle at GTA Online.” What it looks like is exactly to be seen, but it looks like free content updates will continue to arrive throughout 2021 and the developer still has some surprises in store.

It is relatively common for Grand Theft Auto online to add new vehicles and free bonuses. Given that big car thief V is expected to launch on the Xbox X Series S and PlayStation 5 sometime this year, it seems natural that some sort of content update will come with the next generation version.
