A ten-year-old girl from New Iberia was reportedly abducted by a 33-year-old man and Louisiana state police issued an amber alert asking the public for help.
The alert was issued at 11:25 p.m. Sunday.
According to LSP, the alleged kidnapper is Michael R. Sereal of New Iberia, 33. He has been described as a black man, 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing 224 pounds. He was last seen driving a 2012 Nissan Altima with license plate N472845.
Jalisa Lassalle, 10 years
The ten-year-old girl is identified as Jalisa Lassalle, who was last seen on block 1400 of Fulton Street in New Iberia and was riding in Sereal’s vehicle, LSP said.
Lassalle is described as a height of 4-1 / 2 feet and a weight of 75 pounds. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt and blue fabric shorts. “He is believed to be in imminent danger,” officials said in the alert.
