In the ongoing Test match, England bolstered competition after reducing India to 257 by six at the end of Day 3.
England had posted a total of 578 first innings, thanks to a double century from their captain Joe Root, who scored his 100th Test match with a stroke of 218.
Root received extensive support from Dominic Sibley and Ben Stokes, as both batters scored half a century to place England in a leading position.
In response, India got off to a bad start as the hosts lost Rohit Sharma’s wicket in the fourth over.
Shubman Gill was also unable to turn his start into a great score as he collided with a James Anderson midfielder, who took a good catch forward. Jofra Archer represented the two wickets.
