BOERNE, Texas – The city of Boerne will host a vaccination center against COVID-19 on Friday for 500 doses of the Modern vaccine at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
According to a press release, residents can register to reserve a vaccination slot on the Boerne City website starting at 9 a.m. Wednesday. A link to the registration forms will be posted on the city’s website and residents will have the option to switch to the Spanish translation.
No one will be admitted without prior appointment and there will be no registrations at the church.
Mayor Tim Handren urged people not to call the church and said that because registration is only available online, family and friends may need to help those who are not tech experts.
“If you have parents or grandparents who may need help technologically, to register and if you can help them at 9am, that would be great,” Handren said.
Announcements
Only residents who are qualified to receive the vaccine in accordance with phases 1A and 1B of the State Department of Health Services will be able to receive a vaccine, according to the press release.
Once the booking is confirmed, people will receive a follow-up email with information about the appointment. Residents are asked not to show up more than 15 minutes before the scheduled time.
See below a Handren message to residents about the vaccination center.
