SAINT ANTHONY – A San Antonio Walmart pharmacy will begin administering COVID-19 vaccines starting Friday, according to a company statement.
The Walmart located at 5555 De Zavala Road will be one of several locations across the country that will begin vaccinating residents through the U.S. Federal Retail Pharmacy Program. In all, more than 1,000 Walmart and Sam’s Club pharmacies will begin receiving vaccine assignments.
The vaccine will be given to eligible residents who enter levels 1A and 1B.
Those who meet the requirements to receive the vaccine can schedule an appointment through the Walmart and Sam’s Club websites once the appointments are available, according to the press release.
