Tom Brady throws the Lombardi Trophy during the Super Bowl boat parade

This was the boldest step in Tom Brady’s career.

During the Tampa Bay Buccaneers boat parade Wednesday on the Hillsborough River to celebrate their victory in the 2021 Super Bowl, the 43-year-old quarterback threw the Lombardi Trophy from his yacht to someone on another boat.

Brady told reporters he was enjoying the “amazing” celebration, his seventh after winning six rings with the Patriots, who watched the river full of boats.

“Is anyone working today? No way,” Brady said.

Brady didn’t just go with his yacht to a Super Bowl boat parade. He also obtained a police escort, which kept his authorities safe during the celebration, held instead of a traditional parade due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Brady’s boat is 40 feet long and is called “Viva a Vida,” the name of his supermodel wife Gisele’s environmental conservation initiative. TMZ reported that it cost several million dollars.
