Alfonso Alemany, known for his character in El Guitarreño, will return to Wapa TV next Monday, February 15, after months away from the screen as a result of a deep laceration in his right eye, which he advanced, has had a “miraculous recovery.”
German’s reinstatement to the station will be preceded by a series of four reports around his accident, treatment and recovery, which will be broadcast by Wapa and Wapa America.
News packages include interviews with experts and relatives who assisted him in his rehabilitation process. Journalist Yesenia Torres spoke with retinologist and surgeon Dr. Andreu Emmanuelli, who leads his treatment. Also, with Dra. Paola Rebollo, ophthalmologist at the Medical Sciences Precinct, who was in charge of caring for him after the emergency. For his part, Jorge Gelpí Pagán interviewed Dr. Andrés Manatou, his GP and who, seeing what had happened, immediately referred him to the visual health experts.
While journalist Celimar Adames will present the family impact of this event. Interviews with his wife Margie, as well as the executive producers of Stick to Noon Gilda Santini and Sunshine Logroño, will take viewers to know in detail what happened, how the emergency was handled and their impressions.
