Riverdale fans gave a lot to get involved with this week’s episode, as the success of The CW series advanced seven years later. The narrative decision has already manifested itself in some creative way, as tonight’s episode, “Chapter Eighty: Purgatory,” visited the new lives of young adult Archie Andrews (KJ Apa), Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart), Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes), Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse) and more. The first episode of time lapse definitely showed a lot of new storylines for season 5, and now we have our last look at what this will entail. CW has released a new preview of “Chapter Eighty-One: The Homecoming,” which you can check out below.
“I think I knew about the pre-pandemic time jump,” explained Drew Ray Tanner, who plays Fogs Fogarty in the series recently. ComicBook.com. “So when the pandemic happened, we knew we would go back to filming and it would be a little more important in this time jump.
