Vaccinations against COVID-19 will begin at Walmart, Sam’s Club on Friday

TALLAHASSEE, Florida – Starting Friday, COVID-19 vaccines will begin at more than 100 Walmart and Sam’s Club stores across Florida.

Gov. Ron DeSantis said the state expects to receive more than 65,000 doses of the Modern COVID-19 vaccine this week as part of the Federal Pharmacy Program.

This supply will be shipped to hundreds of Publix, Walmart, Sam’s Club and Winn-Dixie pharmacies across Florida.

“We will continue to work hard. You can’t stop smoking when it comes to the vaccine,” DeSantis told press conference in Port Charlotte Thursday.

Vaccinations began Thursday at 43 Winn-Dixie pharmacies in Florida, including one at 2950 Southwest 9th Street in Vero Beach. In accordance with Winn-Dixie COVID-19 Vaccine Website, all appointments are reserved statewide.
