Leon Edwards has made it clear that he is ready for everyone now that Khamzat Chimaev is leaving his UFC Fight Night headliner on March 13th.
That includes Colby Covington, who UFC President Dana White on Friday ranked as the leader in the fight against Edwards next month at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Still, the confrontation is far from over.
Apparently, Edwards (18-3 MMA, 10-2 UFC) has no fears when it comes to facing Covington (16-2 MMA, 11-2 UFC), as he made it clear Saturday that he is in point (via Twitter):
Colby can get that job too. Then the next title. Its belt season

Immediately after Chimaev’s withdrawal due to complications from COVID-19, Edwards made a big call to Nate Diaz to fight. Diaz hit him with his hard arm, however, rejecting the Briton with a famous meme Conor McGregor (via Twitter):
Edwards didn’t think affectionately about Diaz’s response (20-12 MMA, 15-10 UFC) and let him know (via Twitter):
Swim your Photoshop skills as badly as your fighting history. and you used the wtf or conor line
And finally, Edwards aimed at his longtime rival, Jorge Masvidal. The pair have a colorful story, with Masvidal punching Edwards backstage after the two won victories at a March 2019 event in London.
The card Edwards still titles in March is almost exactly two years from the day of the incident with Masvidal (35-14 MMA, 12-7 UFC). However, Edwards does not seem optimistic about a resolution (via Twitter):
We all know that bitch Jorge won’t be seen anywhere when it comes to fighting me. 😂
While high-profile fights seem plentiful for Edwards, it remains to be seen who, if anyone, will agree to enter the octagon with him in a month.
