SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) – Be prepared while an explosion of snowfall watches the Ozarks until Tuesday.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning for northern Arkansas counties. It lasts from noon to Monday. Counties include:
- Baxter, Ark.
- Benton, Ark.
- Boone, Ark.
- Carroll, ARk.
- Fulton, Ark.
- Izard, Ark.
- Marion, Ark.
- Newton, Ark.
- Searcy, Ark.
- Sharp, Ark.
- Stone, Ark.
- Washington, Ark.
KY3’s First Alert weather team is tracking heavy snow despite most of Monday, with amounts of up to six inches. The snow will make the trips almost dangerous. Wind chills could drop to -20 degrees.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather warning for the rest of the Ozarks. Lasts from Sunday at 6 a.m. to Monday at 6 p.m. Includes these counties:
