According to reports, PS4 will get two classic N64 games this month

According to reports, the PS4 and technically the PS5 will receive two classic N64 games later this month. February is a slow month for PS4 and PS5 gamers, and March doesn’t look like much better. However, if you want to believe a new leak, PS4 and PS5 gamers will soon be able to enjoy some games from before. More specifically, according to a new leak from PlayStation Store, both Turok i Turok 2 the remasters will hit the PS4 on February 25th.

The leak gets in the way of the UK’s PlayStation Network app, which recently released PS4 listings for both games. The lists have since been removed, but not before Reddit received the receipt. That said, because the leak can no longer be verified and because no screenshot has been provided, it is best to take it with a grain of salt. However, this is not the first leak that points to these classic games coming to PS4.

Last July, out of nowhere, trophies for Turok were posted on the back of PSN. At the time, the trophies didn’t show up for the sequel, but many expected the pair of games to come together, in a remastered way, because that’s how they were recently released on Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

For those who do not know: Turok, or as it is officially known as, Turok: Dinosaur hunter, is a first-person shooter that debuted in 1997 via the Nintendo 64 and through Iguana Entertainment and Acclaim Entertainment. An adaptation of the comic book series of the same name Acclaim Comics, Turok was not only critically acclaimed, but sold very well, which led to a sequel, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil. Like its predecessor, it was originally released only for N64 and N64. And also like its predecessor did in 1997, it was a critical and commercial success when it fell in 1998.

In 2021, Nightdive Studios owns the rights to the series and has remastered and reissued the first two games for PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. And now it looks like the pair of classics will also hit PS4, which means they can also be played on PS5 through compatibility with previous versions.

At the time of posting, Nightdive Studios has not commented on this alleged leak. That said, if the leak is accurate, we should hear the pair of ports very soon. After all, February 25 is only 12 days away.
