Game developer Anders Lundbjörk has shared a delicious video imagining what The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt it might have looked like if it had been released for the original PlayStation in the 90s instead of for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2015. More specifically, Lundbjörk has raised the famous bathtub scene for his imagined version of PlayStation with some select changes. While the PS1 version of Geralt of Rivia seems to be as much in Gwent as its PS4 counterpart, some of its dialogues seem more concordant with the 90s.
If it sounds familiar, this may be because it’s not the first time the game’s developer has taken a CD Projekt Red title and imagined what it might be like on the original PlayStation. Your version of Cyberpunk 2077 because the PS1 had a lot of traction late last year and for good reason. While Lundbjörk’s creations are not accurate, the particular replicas of real video games carry forward the spirit (and in some cases, wild flaws) found in real ones.
The last few weeks I’ve been working on a new PS1 video next door. It should be done tomorrow! #TheWitcher #ScreenshotSabday pic.twitter.com/Nna79KlnVX
