The Apple Watch Series 7 can carry a blood glucose monitor, as described in the technology

Apple could incorporate a new health-focused technology into its watch that will arrive later this year. It is possible that the new Apple Watch Series 7 watch with tips can control blood glucose without drawing blood. And a new patent now shows how this technology could be implemented. The patent application filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) entitled “Terahertz Spectrosopy and Imaging In Dynamic Environments With Dynamic Improvements Using Ambient Sensors” states that the iPhone manufacturer may use absorption spectroscopy. for non-invasive blood sugar readings.

It is also mentioned that the technology could use terahertz electromagnetic radiation instead of using light to pass through the body to detect “gas, health / quality of liquid or solid materials”. But the patent also mentions a potential problem. The implementation of the technology could cause the Watch to lose water resistance. The blood sugar reading should also be accurate. If the reading is turned off a bit, the user may end up taking too much insulin and causing a hypoglycemic or low blood sugar attack, Phonearena reports.

In addition, technology can mean faster battery consumption than before and whether the watch can fit all components. In all this would mean an increase in the price of the device.

The report adds that the same technology can be used to detect skin cancer and other related problems. Although, while the patent doesn’t necessarily mean Apple will definitely bring blood glucose monitors to the Apple Watch, it does mean the company is at least considering working on it. For what it’s worth, Samsung is also expected to carry a blood glucose monitor on its next smartwatch that is expected to arrive later this year.
