Videos and photos show how San Antonio spent 2021 Snow Day

SAINT ANTHONY – San Antonio residents woke up with an unusual view Monday morning.

During the night, about 3 to 6 inches of snow covered parts of central and southern Texas, leaving behind picture-worthy views of neighborhoods and landmarks such as the Alamo, River Walk and Hemisfair.

Although the winter storm has caused power outages and dangerous conditions, locals have taken advantage of it by enjoying a rare opportunity to play in the snow.

That meant ice angels in Alamo Plaza, snowmen in abundance and sleds and kayaking through the streets.
