Donald Trump was acquitted in his political trial – US and Canada – International

After facing his second political trial, Donald Trump was reunited with his followers while entering his residence in Sea-to-Lake, located in the south of the state of Florida, in the United States.

The meeting came after the Senate verdict acquitting Trump of the political trial he was subjected to.

The assaults on the Capitol on January 6 were not enough for the Republican Party to turn a blind eye.r, as just 7 legislators from this political group joined the 50 representatives of the Democratic Party (majority in the senate) to vote in favor of the political trial.

In the end, the Democratic Party won the vote 57-43 but that was not enough to reach the two-thirds threshold in the Senate that they would have buried Trump’s political life.

After the meeting with his followers, the former president left home to play golf at the Trump International Golf Club, located in West Palm Beach, and made a written statement.

“Our historic, patriotic and beautiful movement to grow back in North America is just beginning,” Trump commented in part of the writing.

For its part, after the announcement of the acquittal, Trump’s lawyers insisted that his client experienced a witch hunt that was designed to prevent his re-election.

The social sanction against one of the most controversial presidents in U.S. history will remain, but the failure of the second political trial may open the door for him to run as a presidential candidate in 2024.
