Sony is towards class action lawsuit on his reported not respecting the warranty agreements of PlayStation 5 drivers with obvious “drift” defects.

In a lawsuit filed Feb. 12 in the southern district of New York, the Japanese conglomerate is accused of violating consumer fraud statutes and violating warranty agreements related to the PS5 DualSense Wireless the controllers, which according to demand have an obvious flaw that allows characters to move around the screen even when a user does not move the joystick of the controller.

Lmarc Turner, the main plaintiff in the complaint, states that he immediately experienced a drift problem with the driver after taking his PS5 home in early February. But after contacting customer service, According to reports, Turner was left with some lame tips on troubleshooting the faulty driver and not much else.

The lawsuit calls for Sony to launch a free replacement memory or program in order to replace the faulty drivers of all members of the class, and also requests payments for damages payable to consumers in order to compensate they to buy new drivers or any other out-of-pocket expenses to fix the alleged defect.
