* There is a 99.9% chance of it returning on March 1st
LOS ANGELES, February 16, 2021 – After a phenomenal beta release of half a pandemic, the cultural event of Blaseball, an absurd browser-based baseball simulation with very normal events, such as cremations, rogue referees and a JRPG-style boss fight against a peanut god, will make its big comeback on March 1, just in time for Spring Training 2021. Is that it? really relevant time? May be. Probably not.
To celebrate the arrival of their next iteration, Beta but Better, the video game masters at The Game Band thought it would be great to finally hire public relations people to help you explain what Blaseball is about to reach the larger masses, with an emphasis on some upcoming features and items that will affect next season. Grab a snack and serve it, everyone.
You see Blaseball is the D&D of sports. The DM is your big brother, and you are the chaotic brother with a thirst for power. The game will follow what you and the fan base vote for, including inflating the rules to the point that new rules are made on the fly. Blaseball simulates seasons at an accelerated pace: with one game every hour and one season every week. Players are betting coins on every game, hoping to get rich enough to influence the votes for the postseason elections that take place the following Sunday. Then, there is renewed chaos and fans have to face the consequences of their decisions.
New key features:
- Concessions! You can now buy snacks! Votes are also snacks.
- Mysterious weekly team tarot readings. †
- FOOD: an easier way to keep track of events as they happen, so you’re not always recovering from discord or twitter.
- The expected Crabitat! The Crabs get to their park and then [redacted]
- Wills: Deeper strategy for each team. Your community organization will go even further than before.
- In season and out of season: New rhythm of 3 weeks activated and 2 weeks free, which offer fans the downtime they need to grab recaps, media and events through The Feed. The gaming band may even have some surprise events in line
Blaseball is an absurd, corruptible, corruptible online baseball game. It is a simplistic simulation of a sport, integrated into the real sports void, where players can watch, bet and contort the league.
The key difference between Blaseball and baseball is the participation of the players. Gaming is allowed and encouraged. Players will win and lose a virtual Blaseball currency by betting on the games and will collect their income to make changes to the league. The community can change teams, team players, lists and even the rules of the game.
Blaseball it’s almost baseball. There is only one league of fake teams, with fake players and fake schedules. Seasons of Blaseball they are simulated over several days. Teams will win and lose, stories will appear and Blaseball history will be made.
