The Los Angeles Galaxy announced the hiring of Alex Alcalá, the 15-year-old Mexican-American who excelled in some videos, in which he stands out for his skill with the ball and was called the “Mexican Messi”.
“Alex is a young talent we enjoy developing in a professional environment,” said LA Galaxy general manager Dennis et Kloese. “We believe the structure and resources we will provide will allow him to continue to grow as a player and as a person. We hope Alex represents our club,” he added.
Alex Alcalà has trained with Barcelona and Manchester City, he is now hired by the Galaxy, after training with the MLS team since 2020. The striker is considered in the U-15 and U-17 of the Mexican team, in addition to which he himself has reiterated his commitment to Mexico.
The 15-year-old will be able to play with the Galaxy II and, at the same time, will have the opportunity to participate with the first team of the set in which Javier Chicharito Hernández and Jonathan Dos Santos also play, along with Efraín Álvarez, also selected Mexican youth.
Alcalá was born in Stockton, California, and his videos on social media have made him popular among Mexican fans, the nationality of his parents.
