Mach 1 returns in 2021, replacing Bullitt in the Mustang lineup. The Mach 1 is above the EcoBoost and GT models, but below the Shelbys. Prices and options are detailed below.
The Mach 1 is only available as a fastback, with no top-down convertible cruise with this model. (Ford and Dodge do not offer convertible versions of their more powerful models.) The Mach 1 comes in two versions; the base car starts at $ 52,720. This gives you items like the Recaro sports seats, the dashboard-mounted chassis license plate, and the handling package, which includes adjustable strut top mounts, a deck spoiler, and 19-inch wheels.
The Mach 1 Premium is the next step. It starts at $ 54,315. The extra $ 1,595 gives you things like air-conditioned, refrigerated seats and a heated steering wheel.
There are seven exterior colors: Racing Red, Velocity Blue, Twister Orange, Iconic Silver, Grabber Yellow, Oxford Oxford and Shadow Black. Four stripe options complete the exterior paint: two ribbons and two strokes. The Twister Orange is the only color that has an additional cost of $ 495. Each strip is available in all exterior colors. Unfortunately, if you don’t mind the look of the stripes, they can’t be removed.

The Mach 1 runs on the 5.0-liter V8 that pulls out 480 horsepower. You can choose a standard six-speed manual with match speed or an optional $ 1,595 10-speed automatic. There aren’t many options to choose from as this is loaded. The Mach 1 includes the performance package along with the active exhaust and the MagnaRide damping system. You can choose $ 394-inch 19-inch wheels and $ 495 red brake calipers. This completes the exterior options.
Inside, it’s the same story. It’s loaded, with the only options for the interior: a $ 595 dashboard navigation system that would jump in and the excellent $ 1,595 Recaro sports seats. Note, however, that if you select these power adjustment losses. All in all, a fully loaded Mach 1 with all the options (10-speed automatic, $ 495 orange paint, etc.) totals $ 59,085. Note that this is just the base car. It would save me $ 4,280 and I wouldn’t get any options.
The Mach 1 Premium is more or less the same with some key differences in options that differentiate it. On the one hand, the Premium has one more color option, Fighter Jet Gray. It is a kind of light blue gray that is now popular in so many models. This color is part of a larger $ 1,000 Mach 1 appearance pack that must be selected if this color is chosen. The Premium also has an additional black stripe option with orange accents. There’s a $ 395 “enhanced safety package” that almost Ford charges $ 400 for the wheel locks. Then there’s the $ 1,295 Mach 1 Elite package. This provides you with a 12-speaker B&O sound system with a CD player (!) And includes the aforementioned security package.
Differences within the Premium are reduced to the optional $ 1,595 Recaro leather seats and an ambient lighting system that requires Recaros. Please note, however, that you cannot heat or cool the seats with the Recaros. All in all, you’re looking for almost $ 63,000 for a Mach 1.
This means a lot of coins so it amounts to being a worn GT. If the Shelby GT350 was still around, it would be the best buy. It started at $ 60,440. But if you’re looking for a pony car that’s more than a GT, but not as crazy as a Shelby, the Mach 1 is.
