Anna Faris has revealed that she will be launching a new card game called Dealbreakers, just a day after it was announced that the series in which she participated, Mom, would end this year.
Faris, 44, starred in Mom for seven seasons, but left a few days before the series began filming its eighth season last year.
While Mom fans mourned the end of the critically acclaimed series, Faris revealed to People that he would be releasing a new game based on the Dealbreakers segment on his podcast, Unqualified.

Game activated: Anna Faris has announced that she will launch a new card game called Dealbreakers, just a day after the release of the series she had starred in, Mom, which would end this year
“As my dear listeners will know, Dealbreakers is a segment of my podcast, Anna Faris Is Unqualified, where I ask guests about the craziness they would or would not tolerate in a romantic couple,” she told the post.
“It has led to so many fascinating and amazing conversations that we decided to turn it into a game for everyone. What’s more fun than talking about what can drive you crazy in a future couple?
The object of the game is to ultimately deter the moderator from going on a date.
The rounds begin with players selecting a stage card describing the scene or date, and players will present a “chord-breaking” card that they hope will persuade the moderator to leave the date.

Shocking Outing: Faris starred Mom for seven seasons, but abruptly left a few days before the series entered its eighth season last year.
“As players explore these questions and collect points, they will learn more than they ever thought about themselves, their friends, and of course, how to avoid going out with ax killers,” Faris added.
The deluxe box includes 30 date scenario cards, five additional “wildcard” scenarios, 300 puzzle cards, 15 create puzzle “wildcards”, a rule booklet and a personal note from the actress. The game will be out in May.
The news comes just a day after it was announced that CBS would end the mother this year after the eighth season.
Although Faris left a few days before production began last year, the show continued with its co-star Allison Janney at the helm, who recently described returning “no stranger” to the set without Faris.

Tearful farewells: the mother is canceled after eight seasons after the dramatic departure of the protagonist Anna Faris … although her star Allison Janney wants it to continue
“For the past eight years, we’ve had the great honor of bringing these wonderful characters to life, sharing their struggles and triumphs with millions of viewers each week,” said executive producers Chuck Lorre, Gemma Baker and Nick Bakay, in a statement. obtained by Variety.
“We are always grateful for our brilliant cast and guest stars, wonderful writers and an amazing crew for following this journey with us,” the statement concludes.
It comes after Janney, 61, talked about Faris and her departure from Ellen DeGeneres’ show, saying, “Yeah, it was really weird and she misses it so much. Anna is missing and her character from the show it is missing ”.
Janney then expressed his desire for the series to continue, even though Faris had been marketed as the star and main character of the show when it premiered in 2013.

As they are now: Mom’s eighth season features her regulars, Mimi Kennedy, Kristen Johnston, Allison Janney, Jaime Pressley and Beth Hall

What happened?! Allison Janney sat down this week to talk to Ellen DeGeneres about Anna Faris who abruptly left her hit CBS Mom show last September
“We’re happy she’s doing what she wants to do now and we’re even happier, so we can tell these stories about these great women in recovery,” she said, referring to the fact that the series takes place in an Alcoholics Anonymous group.
Janney continued, “And I think there are some really wonderful characters that have been established. And people like the show, so we’ll keep telling the stories as long as possible.”
Still, it’s now the end of the series ’journey, despite the great work done by the cast of the set.
The creators’ statement added: “From the beginning, we set out to tell stories about the recovery from alcoholism and addiction that are rarely portrayed in a series of online comedies.”
“Whether it was the emotional reactions of the live audience during the night of tapes on Stage 20, or the discussions in the White House about the opioid crisis or the personal stories we continue to receive on social media, we we are very proud to know that the mother has impacted so many lives. ”

“Very Strange”: Anna Faris was marketed as the protagonist and protagonist of the show Mom when it premiered in 2013, but will now continue without her
Created by Chuck Lorre, Eddie Gorodetsky and Gemma Baker, the mother was initially conceived as a vehicle for Faris, following her series of successful comic book roles in films, including The House Bunny and Smiley Face.
However, the program, which deals with the topic of drug and alcohol addiction recovery, has undergone much of the change over the seasons.
In the third season, it was less about the character of Faris, Christy and their children, and more of an ensemble comedy, with supporting actors Jaime Pressley, Mimi Kennedy and Beth Hall getting more screen time.
In 2018, Kristen Johnston had a big impact playing Tammy Diffendorf, Bonnie’s (Janney) foster sister who ended up in jail after trying to steal an Outback Steakhouse.
It wasn’t long before Johnston was invited to be a regular series, and the show now looks like an ensemble piece between the five actors, no doubt with Janney as the protagonist.
Meanwhile, Faris issued a statement at the time of her shock departure, saying, “The last seven years in my mother have been some of the most satisfying and rewarding of my career.”
He added: “I am very grateful to Chuck [Lorre], the writers and my amazing co-stars for creating a truly wonderful work experience. “

The mother-daughter duo no longer: Faris and Janney had amazing chemistry on the show, which made Faris ’outing even more shocking (the couple pictured in 2018)
