A massive fire broke out Thursday afternoon at an apartment complex in San Antonio, officials said.
The fire started around 1pm at the Bexar County complex, KSTAT reported.
Neighbors recalled that they received an alert to turn off their water heater and that the fire broke out on the second floor moments later, fire officials reported.
About 50 residents were evacuated from the building.
According to WOAI-TV, firefighters had to introduce water to put out the flames because a nearby fire hydrant was frozen.
Videos and photos on social media shows a flowing black smoke to the sky as fire crews work the scene.
No injuries were reported. Officials are still investigating what caused the fire.
