San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office officials say a pickup truck that was stolen during a home invasion burglary in rural San Luis Obispo last weekend was found abandoned at a gas station Wednesday morning in San José.
The theft was reported Saturday afternoon at a 1700 block of O’Connor Way block.
The elderly resident told investigators that the suspect took money from inside her home and stole her truck.
Through forensic evidence found at the scene, sheriff’s officials said they were able to identify the suspect as Johnny Jesse Roman Jr., 38, of San Luis Obispo.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Roman. If seen, sheriff’s officers say you should call 911 immediately.
Sheriff’s officials say the victim and the suspect did not know each other.
