On Wednesday morning, the Department of Public Health (DPH) announced the deaths of 41 more people due to complications caused by Covid-19, in addition to registering 182 new infections.
Health officials noted that the 41 deaths on that day correspond to 15 women and 26 men in an age range of 30 to 90 years; all had underlying health problems, it was reported.
However, the DPH has emphasized that the deaths did not occur in a single day but over a seven-month period.
Also, 26 more cases were reported which are part of the delayed local results issued by the State to the Department of Public Health.
The results come from tests conducted during weeks 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 of the 2013 Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are currently in week 7.
These figures give a cumulative total of positive cases of 120 thousand 205, of which 110 thousand 766 have been recovered and 7 thousand 519 remain active, according to the Department of Public Health of the Pas (DPH).
To date, 389 patients receive medical care in area hospitals, 151 of them in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and 103 connected to artificial respirators or ventilators.
