
Since late last year, there have been reports that third-party giant EA bought British developer Codemasters.
It is now official as EA announces the creator of titles like Formula 1, DIRT, CARS project i GRID has joined the family, in a deal believed to be valued at $ 1.2 billion.
EA says its goal is to create a “source of energy in racing entertainment” with the help of its existing franchises, such as Need for speed, Real Racing i Burnout. This is what Andrew Wilson, CEO of EA, said about the acquisition:
