Two Florida women are dressing as older women in an effort to get the COVID-19 vaccine Wednesday, according to several outlets.
The two women wore costumes consisting of coats, gloves and glasses to appear over the age of 65, the current vaccination requirement in Florida, according to the Washington Post.
The plot failed when vaccine distribution clinic workers noticed that the dates of birth of the licenses did not match the information they had provided. The women, aged 44 and 34, were detained by authorities.
Images from the body camera of an Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputy showed that women were outraged by their efforts.
“You stole a vaccine from someone who needs it more than you,” an official is heard saying in the images, shared on Twitter by WSVN News.

The women received rape notices and said they would be arrested if they tried to return.
“You have to wait your turn,” another agent can be heard explaining to them in the video. “You’re lucky not to be arrested right now.”
Despite being arrested, it appears the women’s trap had already worked, as both had cards from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to verify that they had been given the first doses of vaccine, the Post reports.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office did not immediately respond to The Hill’s request for comment.
