Ciberpunk 2077 PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PC and Google Stadia players are being harassed by a ghost, but not because there is a ghost that docks players into the open world role-playing game, but because of ‘an error. It’s been a minute since the last one Ciberpunk 2077 update released, which means there have now been a variety of bugs affecting the game for weeks. For example, the ghost of Adam Smasher follows the players and appears at random to scare the Bojangles chicken.
Over the past few weeks, players have begun to report the error, but many assumed it was a myth until recently. On Reddit, a player confirmed that the error is real with a video showing Adam Smasher hunting them.
At this point, it’s not clear what triggers this bug, what platforms it is and what it doesn’t affect, and what prevalence it has. Nor is it clear how to avoid it and if there is any solution.

At the time of publication, CD Projekt Red has not officially fixed the error. If that changes, we’ll be sure to update the story. And of course, if more information about the bug itself appears, we’ll also give the story an update with that information.
Ciberpunk 2077 is available across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC, and Google Stadia, and at the moment it’s still a bit cluttered no matter what platform you’re playing on, but it’s also drastically improved from the launch. It is now in good condition, but far from perfect and far from error free.
