Another Dash announced for Nintendo Switch with new gaming systems

Looks like there are no more Gougi covers

Fighting EX Layer may have started as a “April Fool’s joke,” but has continued to evolve in recent years with its next incarnation now known to the world.

Arika announced during the Japan Fighting Game Publisher roundtable that Fighting EX Layer: Another Dash will hit Nintendo Switch later this year, which looks set to return to work on many of the game’s basic systems.

Gougi covers have now completely disappeared from the party experience and are now being replaced by a number of new moves / EX systems to give extra character to each character when they have a meter.

EX-Dash, EX-Arrow, and EX-Illusion are ways to give players more defensive and offensive options, though that’s not all that’s changing. Some characters / moves also reach battle balance adjustments.

Some of these changes seem pretty similar to what Arika previously showed in the April Fool’s Day beta, though there’s no news that Another Dash will hit other platforms right now.

One thing that the new port will not appear in the release, however, is the net backspace code that the other versions receive and will instead use what they call backlash interrupt, which seems to hide the delay in entering frames. variables.

If all goes well, though, Arika hopes to combine the two forms of network code to get the “best of both worlds.”

More information on Another Dash will arrive on April 1 because of course it will. Maybe we’ll see more about the Prayer to Death game they also tried last year.
