UPMC Introduces New Website for COVID-19 Vaccine Registration – CBS Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – Health experts are constantly pushing for eligible people to be vaccinated against COVID-19. And now, in Pittsburgh, there’s a new tool you can use when it’s your turn.

UPMC has created a website where you can register for the COVID-19 vaccine if you are under the Pennsylvania Phase 1-A guidelines.

Please note that registering does not mean getting the vaccine right away, but you will will be placed on the waiting list and UPMC will contact you to schedule an appointment when a vaccine is available.

You do no you must be an insured member of the UPMC to be able to enter the waiting list and receive a vaccine through the UPMC.

UPMC reiterates that the supply of vaccines from the state and federal government is still limited and is encouraging citizens to be patient.

Meanwhile, UPMC stresses that it wants to vaccinate as many people as possible as soon as the health system receives more doses.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki addressed the nation on the limited supply of vaccines Sunday morning.

We hope to recover quickly this week, fill that gap, make sure they go out to the communities and also meet our deadlines and our deadlines for the doses that will have to come out next week, ”Psaki said.

An operator will register you by phone and then contact you to schedule an appointment when the photo is available.

UPMC expects a lot of people to call, so if you can register online, we ask that you do so.
