After the snippet of an unreleased collaboration with Lil Baby went viral, Meek Mill found himself at the end of the reaction. The Philadelphia rapper is heard in the clip that rings the line, “Yes, and if I ever miss it, I’ll go out with my choppa / It’ll be another Kobe,“and the public quickly denounced him for his choice of bars. Meek seemed defiant in his response and even shared a hat image with Kobe Bryant and the names of his late 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, to show that he was not being disrespectful, but he did not offer the apologies that many believe he should have given.

The controversy soon dissipated and new viral moments took their place, but almost a week later, Vanessa Bryant showed up to deal with the lyrics. “Dear @meekmil, I find this line extremely insensitive and disrespectful. Period,” Kobe’s widow shared in her Instagram story. “I don’t know any of your music, but I think you can do it better than that.”

“If you’re a fan, okay, there’s a better way to show your admiration for my husband,” she continued. “That’s disrespectful.” Soon, Meek resurfaced with a tweet. “I’ll go wild in this feeling … f #% k already feelings!” He wrote.
