A 4-year-old UK girl accidentally hung herself from a tree a few days after becoming a twin sister, and now her mother has talked about her “pain hell storm” after the tragedy.
Freya Thorpe was wearing a bicycle helmet when she climbed a tree near her home in Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire in September 2019, the South West News Service reported.
He slipped and fell, but the helmet strap stuck to the tree and he died despite the efforts of people who intervened in emergencies.
“I’m a broken individual, trapped in a hell of a pain storm,” said Elise, Freya’s mother.
“We live every day and night in hell, torture, shock and pain that cannot be understood,” he said.
The devastated mother told SWNS that she and her husband “were in the new cloud after the expected arrival and difficult pregnancy” of the twins Kiera and Zack, and added that she would have taken her own life if she had not born ten days before.
“A brother and sister that Freya had waited so patiently for nine long and difficult months to become an older sister,” she said at the exit.
“In the early afternoon, the father had to go out to pick up Boots Pharmacy’s special milk at Cowley for the twins, as they were allergic to cow’s milk,” Elise recounted.
Freya had been invited to a theatrical date at a house that was a “10-second” walk down a dead-end street where parents “trusted to let their children play,” the mother said.
But on the fateful day, Freya ventured outside without her mother knowing.
“I had the feeling I wanted her at home. Shortly afterwards, I saw an ambulance at the end of the road; I was scared, at that moment without knowing why I was panicking, ”Elise told SWNS.
“I called my husband to tell him I would get her back from the back house. He said, “No, I’m five minutes away, stay with the babies,” he said.
“I saw his car pass and not return from the small dead end. I knew something was wrong, “he added.
When she saw her husband with a firefighter, she grabbed the twins and rushed to a cordoned off area where she saw the first assistants working desperately on Freya.
After waiting two days at John Radcliffe Hospital, she and her husband were told that her daughter could not be saved.
“I never set foot in the house again. This is something I have also lost and I still miss today: my home, ”said Elise.
“If she hadn’t given birth just ten days before we would have taken her life in the hospital that night, no doubt about it,” he said.
“We’ve had so much support over the last 18 months and we can’t tell you all what has helped us, and that’s why I can never thank everyone enough for their support, kind words and donations, even from those who we never met, ”continued the mother.
“But we’ve also experienced scrutiny and abuse from people who have asked,‘ Where were the parents? How could they leave her alone? “, Added.
“It has caused family cracks on the part of family members and lawsuits because people didn’t know Freya wasn’t in our charge when this happened.”
