Yoel Martínez, a member of the duo Bona Fe, came out in defense of Israel Rojas after the controversy on social media between the two musicians.

The guitarist criticized Descemer for his comments against Rojas and questioned his quality as a musician.

“It’s true that Israel didn’t study music. But I did. And I recognize that you’re a good musician, a good bassist and like any composer you have good and bad songs. But don’t be fooled, it makes it very difficult for the listener with a “Tri Cabrum” feature that doesn’t favor you. Don’t confuse the market with music, “he said.

For Martínez, Descemer tried to shield himself from the dead Cuban troubadour Santiago Feliú “to talk rubbish about Israel”, although he has defended him on multiple occasions in the past.

“People were telling us that you were a fraud because it didn’t feel like on the record and Israel justified you by claiming that you had a lot of work and you were certainly affected. You never laughed at the grace of those who made fun of you.” he commented.

Yoel refers to the album Well, Which hit the market in 2012, and in which Descemer and Israel share the song Being of the Sun.

Yoel suggested to Descemer at the end of his post that he needed the help of a rehabilitation specialist to find the path to ethics.

“What God gave you, Saint Peter bless you. But humility is not in the posts and live shows. You think you are humble and it is not true. You claim to be a Christian, but pride is hurting you spiritually “I hope you will soon find the path to ethics. May God (through a rehabilitation specialist) help and bless you,” he concluded.

The origin of the controversy

Yoel Martínez’s comments respond to one controversy sustained for several days on social media between Israel Rojas and Descemer Well about the song Homeland and Life.

It all started at a post by troubadour Ray Fernandez in which he jokes with the phrase that Yotuel wrote on his chest for the music video for the song.

In the post Rojas and troubadour Adrián Berazaín left several comments to which Descemer responded in a video broadcast on his Facebook page where he accused them of siding with the Government of Havana and ignoring the claims. of the village.

“It is very easy to be a communist by getting on the planes of presidents who do not let countries eat,” he told them and clarified that the text of Homeland and Life was aimed at the Cuban dictatorship. “If you’re taking it personally it’s because you belong to it.”

Israel later responded to her social media by telling her that she had never had feelings against him, nor had she envied him.

“When your former colleagues are now your enemies and your old enemies, they see you dragging, begging for attention, truces and agreements … everyone, (right or left) looks at you and sees nothing but to an Efialtes of Thessaly “, comment.

Shortly afterwards, Descemer replied to Rojas’ comment: “The reward they promised Efialtes for the betrayal he never saw … Just as you will not see a reward from those you defend today. They will not hesitate to turn against you in the the first moment you stop serving them as an instrument and a spokesperson, ”he said.

The debate, based on criteria found by the lyrics of the song Patria i Vida, includes not only the musicians, but also official media and public officials in Cuba who have questioned the issue and those who interpret it.

Homeland and Life, in which Yotuel Romero, People of Zone, Maykel Osorbo and the Funky participate, premiered on February 17 on YouTube. The song has so far written this note more than 1 million 870,000 views.
