This weekend, February 27, the Pokémon series celebrates 25 years since the release of the original Game Boy titles.
There have already been rumors and now the official Pokémon Twitter account seems to be joining the fun. He is currently counting down different generations of pocket monsters. With four days to go, the following tweet is shared that says “Come on, Sinnoh.”
While the same account has referred to other Pokémon games and generations in the daily countdown, this particular tweet some very excited fans.
The Sinnoh region was first introduced to the fourth generation next door Diamond and Pearl Pokémon for Nintendo DS.
In case you forgot, last month, Spanish fan Centro Pokémon would have confirmed that Switch remakes of DS Pokémon Diamond & Pearl titles were in development and would be revealed around Pokémon Day, February 27th.
“Pokémon Center can confirm that, according to sources close to the company, the remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, originally released in 2006 for the Nintendo DS, are in development for the Nintendo Switch.”
A much older rumor dating back to 2019 suggested that the remakes of Diamond and Pearl would include “let’s catch” (the capture mechanic first appeared in Pokémon: Anem games).
If this is no longer enough, the file appears Poké Ball Plus, first released alongside Let’s Go games, receives a timely reissue:
Keep in mind that we’re just a few days away from Pokémon’s 25th anniversary, so if there are ads like this, you won’t have to wait long. What do you do with that? Leave a comment below.
