Trisha Yearwood has COVID-19, announces Garth Brooks

The star of the country, Trisha Yearwood, has contracted the new coronavirus COVID-19, as announced on Wednesday by her husband Garth Brooks via Facebook.

Brooks, 59, and Yearwood, 56, are “currently in quarantine at home following a recent Covid positive test by a member of their team,” according to the message from “Team Garth” since Wednesday in the evening.

“Subsequent tests they have had in recent days have indicated that Trisha has hired Covid, while Garth remains negative.”

“Officially,” Brooks adds, Yearwood is “diagnosed now” when he comes out of the tunnel “now, which I’m very grateful for.”

The recent winter storms that covered much of the country prevented Yearwood and Brooks from being tested for a while.

“Anyone who knows me knows that my world begins and ends with Miss Yearwood, so she and I will go through it together,” Brooks said. “And anyone who knows her knows she’s a fighter and she’s been doing everything right, so I know we’ll get out on the other side together.”

Yearwood is “fine so far, but has problems with symptoms,” but Brooks adds that “the possible long-term effects on her [voice] she cares about me as her husband and as a fanatic, ”and notes that“ we are very lucky that she is currently in the best city to treat and heal singers ”.

Yearwood and Brooks had been friends and musical partners for years before romance; when they first met, they were both married to other people. After their respective divorces, they began dating her in 2002, and Brooks proposed to Yearwood that he be on stage in 2005; the couple married later that year and Yearwood became a stepmother to Brooks’ three daughters from their previous marriage.

Brooks, a registered Republican, was back in the spotlight in January when he acted in President Biden’s inauguration. He will also be honored at the annual Kennedy Center Honors in May.
