A neighbor in the Los Angeles suburb, where the great gulf of Tiger Woods crashed, is hailed as a hero for rushing his assistant after calling 911 for the wreck.
The unidentified married man in his 60s who lives next to the scene of Tuesday’s crash on the Palos Verdes ranch rushed to the scene after Woods, 45, apparently lost control of his Genesis SUV 2021 GV80 along an accident-prone stretch outside of Los Angeles, El Sol reported.
The man who began acting to help Woods refused to be interviewed in the early hours of Wednesday, but another Rancho Palos Verdes resident hailed him as a “hero,” according to the report.
“We heard he left his house in Tiger’s car as soon as he called 911,” another neighbor told The Sun. “He helped the agents get Tiger out when they arrived. The accident was right behind his house, so when he found out, he knew it was a bad accident right away. “
Woods reportedly has no memory of the wreck that left him with his right leg shattered. He faces a long road to recovery, including extensive physical therapy and more leg surgeries, medical experts told The Post.
The accident is not being considered a criminal charge and Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva said Wednesday that there was no evidence to indicate reckless driving on behalf of Woods.
“A reckless driving load has a lot of elements,” Villanueva said. “This is purely an accident.”
