Princess Latifa of Dubai, who has been arrested by her father after an attempted escape in 2018, has called on British police to reinvest in the abduction of her sister, Princess Shamsa, more than 20 years ago. In a letter written in 2019, which only happened to Cambridgeshire police and the BBC this week, Princess Latifa wrote that if UK law enforcement was examining her sister’s abduction, at the request of his father Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, provoked the release of Shamsa. Shamsa was abducted from a Cambridge street during an escape attempt when she was 18 years old. Videos of Princess Latifa’s mobile phones appeared last week saying she has no access to fresh air or sunlight and is under police guard.
