If you plan to tune in to today’s Pokémon Presents, this is your last chance to stay intact.
Am I still here? OKAY…
The Reddit PracticalBrush12 leaker has become a name recently, highlighting half of Nintendo’s previous direct presentation prematurely. They were also responsible for several Monster Hunter leaks and details about both Diablo 4 and the Diablo 2 Remaster. His story speaks for itself and they meet Pokémon again.
While Pokémon Presents will likely cover multimedia content beyond gaming, PracticalBrush12 detailed two undisclosed Nintendo Switch projects and what’s even more exciting is that they were later backed up in video leaks and screenshots.
In his latest post, the user writes:
Hey guys, so the remakes are in weirdest 3D xibi, the battles are the same as SwSh. Brilliant D and Shining P, this year, developed by ILCA and not by GF. Because? Because they are working on another game. It’s … an open world. In sinnoh “feudal.” In 2022 it was published earlier.
If you want to believe the user, this would mean the expected remakes of Diamond and pearl they are called “Shiny Diamond” and “Shiny Pearl” and, although the date is not specified, they are likely to aim for 2021 if the second project is in 2022. These remakes will presumably be directed by ILCA, a support study which has helped with games like Dragon Quest XI i NieR: automata, although he does not appear to have developed his own title before.
So what about the Game Freak title? A fully open world Pokémon adventure was relocated to the Sinnoh region, only in the past. No more details are shared beyond the 2022 release date, but don’t worry, it’s about to be very exciting.
A few hours after this post was posted, images from Game Freak’s open-world Pokémon game found their way online. It looks like Pokémon is finally getting it “Breath of the Wild” moment. Videos and screenshots show coaches wandering around a fully open field with images far exceeding that of 2019 Sword and shield. Not only that, but it looks like the combat has been completely overhauled with battles taking place in real time.
We see a trainer throwing a Poké Ball, almost as if you were shooting an arrow at Breath of the Wild. You can ride monsters, fly in real time, climb, sneak into the tall grass. It almost seems too good to be real, as if it were a Breath of the Wild modification … even though it goes online perfectly with what PracticalBrush12 describes.
Just wait a few hours to officially see for ourselves, but it seems that this Pokémon Present is one that will not want to miss.
